Multisite Plus goes far beyond the multi-site capability included in the standard scope of Sophora.
subshell has designed this feature for customers who have particularly high demands on the multi-site management and with many different websites in Sophora.
Its special feature is that the globally valid document model can be customized for websites or parts of websites by hiding or changing certain fields (properties) and components (child nodes).
Multisite Plus allows for the creation of structure sections in the administration area of Sophora’s editor.
A structure section can be linked to one or more structural paths (websites, parts of websites). A structure section by default inherits all the document type configurations of the global configuration. Then administrators have the ability to make changes by defining certain characteristics differently than in the global configuration. For this task, node type variations are used.
For example, it is possible in a structure section "economy", which refers to the structural path "mysite/business", to define two additional fields which will be shown on the document tab "Base" of an article. Similarly, it can be set so that another field is a mandatory field and that a certain box or group in the component structure cannot be added.
