The Sophora Media Finder (SMF) provides ARD-Sophora users with the ability to search for and select specific videos and audio files in the ARD Mediathek and Audiothek, allowing them to integrate these directly into their applications.
The editorial team can access the search function via the “Tools” menu in the Sophora DeskClient to search the ARD Mediathek and Audiothek in a web-based view. A variety of filter and sorting options are available to quickly locate relevant content. All essential information for selected video and audio items—such as teaser, URL, and embed code—is automatically transferred to Sophora. In the background, corresponding Sophora documents are generated, which can be utilized further within editorial workflows.
The documents generated can be flexibly tailored to meet the specific requirements of each distribution and editorial process. A customizable plugin mechanism is available for this purpose, allowing for individual configuration as needed.
