Overview
The navigation pane (visible on the left when signed in) provides access to:
- Plus: Create new documents from scratch or with predefined templates
- Search: Search for documents (default).
- Proposals: Pitch stories to your editors-in-chief, map internal workflows, and monitor news feeds and imports.
- Recent: Review your recently edited documents.
- The Themes menu: Select a theme and change dark mode settings.
- The Extended menu provides access to additional options, including user settings, support information, help, and Sophora info.
On narrow screens the navigation pane dissapears. All items will then be located in the menu on the top left.
Work with document cards
Each document is represented by a card in many views. Each card can contain information about the document, including:
- A thumbnail, if available
- The publication state of the document
- The type of the document, such as "Image," "Article," "Audio," or "Video."
- The last modified date
- The name of the last editor
- The location of the document
The other rows of each document card show content. The displayed content depends on the document type's configuration, typically a title and a description.
To perform a documents action, click or tap the context menu (three dots) of the card (or in the row of a table) and select an action:
- Open: Opens the document in edit mode
- Open for reading: Opens the document in read-only mode
- Document information: Opens a dialog to view metadata about the document
- Publish: Publishes the document
- Set offline: Sets the document offline
- Preview: Displays the document preview in a separate browser tab
- Propose: Opens a dialog to propose the document
- Clone: Creates a copy of the document
- Move: Lets you select a new folder for the document
- Delete: Deletes the document
Note: Some actions might not be available due to permissions.
