Learn more about possible document states and their corresponding icons.

A document exists in various states. Each state has its own icon. This list provides an overview.

Online or offline states

The four document state icons provide information if a document is online or offline.

Content Description
Document has never been published.
Document is online.
Document was published before, but is now offline.
Document is deleted.

States in the editing process

The online state icons combine with one of four overlays that display the document’s state in the editing process.

Content Description
Document is in process.
Document is prepared for publication (prepublished).
Publication of the document is scheduled (publishat).
Document is ready.

Combined icons for on-line or off-line states and states in the editing process

Below, you can see the combined icons. The different editing process icons display in the lower-right corner of the composed icon.

Content Description
Document was never online and is in process. (New)
Document was never online, but is now finished and ready for approval and publication.
Document was never online, but is now prepublished.
Document was never online, but will be published time-controlled.
Document is online and in revision.
Document is still online, was edited afterwards and is now ready for approval.
Document is online, subsequently was edited and is now prepublished.
Document is still online, was edited and is scheduled for publishing.
Document is in process and currently offline, but was published before.
Document is currently offline, but was edited and is now ready for publication.
Document is currently offline, but was edited and is prepublished.
Document is currently offline, but was edited and is scheduled for publishing.
