Planet Wissen impresses with its wide range of topics. The online knowledge pool has been published with Sophora since its relaunch in 2017.
Planet Wissen is a joint offer of WDR, SWR and BR alpha. Since 2002, the science magazine has been investigating questions regarding nature, technology, history and culture and has dedicated itself to social issues.
The multimedia website www.planet-wissen.de offers online access to all programs, supplementary texts, audio and videos on key topics. As of 2015, all materials can be accessed in the program archive. In 2004, a Grimme Online Award was given for this feature.
A highlight for users is the interactive keyword search in the alphabetical subject index, which turns the website into an online encyclopedia. From "exhaust fumes" and "weight loss" to "forced marriage" and "twins", very specific searches can be easily performed.

Westdeutscher Rundfunk Köln (WDR) is a German public-broadcasting institution based in the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, with its head office in Cologne.
