TV different. With Sophora.
3sat’s multimedia library is published with Sophora.
As of 2021, 3sat's international content is published via Sophora. ZDF, ORF, SRF and ARD have chosen the subshell CMS for the implementation of the joint 3sat multimedia library. Videos and stories, as well as the current programming, are all published and made available with Sophora.
Users and viewers benefit from Sophora’s updated technology. Sophora ensures the thematic linking of films, documentaries and videos; users can easily add their favorites to their personal watchlist and access content on multiple channels, including online, in the 3sat app, as well as via Smart TVs.
When many parties from different regions and editorial teams are involved, a well coordinated and smooth operating process is of the utmost importance. Sophora CMS covers diverse editorial interests and technical requirements with ease.
"For 35 years, our motto 'TV different’ has best expressed our goal: to offer the best programming from three countries and four broadcasters. In the future, the new media library will make it easier for our viewers to experience 'TV different’ in all ways, including online," says Natalie Müller-Elmau, 3sat coordinator at ZDF.
When developing Sophora, the subshell team thought about individual workflows. To make internal processes as simple and direct as possible, the subshell CMS allows all articles, images, videos, broadcasts and documents to be stored in a detailed structure where they can be easily linked to each other. This creates real added value for both editorial and technical staff.
