Sophora ensures the fail-safe flow of the online offering of ZDF Children's Television, which can be reached via both the classic browser and the ZDFtivi app.
Since its relaunch in September 2017, ZDFtivi has been part of the ZDF media library. Here, even the youngest ZDFtivi fans can view their favorite programs at any time and on all mobile devices. Thanks to Sophora, the offer is responsive and interactive - children can also comment on programs and participate in online quizzes. The ZDF online editorial team uses Sophora's User Generated Content add-on (UGC) to provide the interactive content. In addition, this function tallies scores with its own quiz function; in the Sophora components tab, editors can vary the questions and create different answer options via the use of dynamic tables.
Thanks to Sophora, ZDFtivi was quickly and easily integrated into the overall media library. The basis for this was both the central JSON-based content API and the tightly knit working relationship with subshell's partner company, Exozet.
